Here is a summary of my experience:
-
Cressey Sports Performance – Palm Beach Gardens, FL
- Professional Off-season Baseball Biomechanics Internship
- Executed comprehensive in-person biomechanical assessments for professional baseball pitchers, utilizing Theia markerless motion capture, Qualisys, Swing Catalyst, and Bertec force plates to analyze full-body kinematics and kinetics in Visual3D.
- Developed and managed an internal player database, leveraging data-driven insights from movement analyses and predictive modeling to inform mechanical adjustments, create personalized development plans, and improve on-field performance for pitchers.
- Utilized Hawkin Dynamics force plate data to monitor athlete progress and the effectiveness of strength and conditioning interventions on jump performance.
- Proficient in utilizing Trackman data and Edgertronic high-speed video for data-driven analytical assessment of baseball performance.
-
The University of Tennessee – Knoxville, TN
- Research Study Co-Investigator
- Coordinator of 6 Research Assistants in the Biomechanics & Sports Medicine Lab with 2 winning Undergraduate Research & Fellowship Grants of $500 each.
- Completed 90 in-person data collection sessions to assess lower body kinematics and kinetics utilizing marker motion capture, using Vicon-Nexus, AMTI force plates, Visual3D, and VisualBasic.
- Engineered and applied machine learning and dimensionality reduction in Python to analyze pickleball range of motion data, identifying distinct player movement clusters with 91% F1 score accuracy.
